3.1 Quotations are valid for 30 days from issue unless stated otherwise.
3.2 An order is formed when you accept our quotation in writing (email is fine) and pay the deposit (see clause 7).
3.3 Measurements are confirmed at survey. If the survey reveals differences that affect price or feasibility, we will notify you and request written approval before proceeding.
4.1 Most doors are manufactured to order to your chosen style, colour, finish and sizes.
4.2 Minor variations in colour/tone/woodgrain between batches and between samples and final goods may occur and are not defects.
4.3 Please check your choices carefully before approval; see clause 6 for changes after deposit.
5.1 Indicative lead time: 3–6 weeks from final survey approval and deposit, subject to manufacturer availability.
5.2 We will offer proposed installation dates once goods are due. Dates are estimates and may shift for supply or operational reasons (see clause 15).
6.1 After the deposit is paid and the order is placed with the manufacturer, changes of colour/style/finish or sizes are treated as a new order.
6.2 If you wish to cancel before we place the manufacturing order, we will refund your deposit less any reasonable costs already incurred (e.g., survey time, admin, expedited samples).
6.3 Consumer statutory cancellation rights may not apply to made-to-measure goods under the Consumer Contracts Regulations. This does not affect your statutory rights regarding defective goods.
7.1 Prices include/exclude VAT as stated on the quotation. If VAT applies, it will be charged at the prevailing rate.
7.2 Deposit: 50% payable on order approval.
7.3 Balance:
7.4 We reserve the right to withhold delivery/installation until cleared funds are received.
7.5 Late payments may incur interest at 4% above Bank of England base rate from due date to payment.
8.1 You are responsible for providing safe access, parking (permits if needed), and a clear working area.
8.2 Existing cabinets must be structurally sound, plumb and level to accept new doors. Any rectification required is additional (see clause 10).
8.3 You are responsible for protecting surfaces and possessions not within our scope. We take reasonable care but are not liable for pre-existing conditions.
9.1 Risk in goods passes on delivery to site; title remains with us until paid in full.
9.2 Inspect deliveries on arrival and notify us of visible damage within 48 hours (photos helpful).
10.1 If, during survey/installation, we identify additional or unforeseen works (e.g., cabinet carcass deterioration, misaligned frames, hidden pipework, electrical issues, asbestos, water ingress), we will notify you immediately.
10.2 We will price accordingly and proceed only with your approval (email or signed variation).
10.3 If you decline additional works and they are necessary for proper fit/operation, we may pause or cancel the affected scope and charge for work done to date.
11.1 Doors will be hung and adjusted within industry-standard tolerances.
11.2 Small adjustments may be required after settling; we will attend to reasonable post-install tweaks within 14 days of completion.
11.3 Decorative works (painting, tiling, plastering, silicone) are excluded unless expressly included in the quotation.
12.1 We provide a 6-year warranty on doors and panels supplied by BA Components against manufacturing defects (materials and workmanship) from the date of installation/supply. Products supplied from Crest Timber come with a 12 year manufacturers warranty.
12.2 Hinges, runners and hardware are covered for 2 years unless the manufacturer states longer.
12.3 What’s not covered:
12.4 Care & Maintenance (required to maintain warranty):
Failure to follow care instructions may invalidate the warranty.
12.5 Remedy: At our discretion, we will repair, replace like-for-like (or closest available equivalent), or refund the defective component’s value. Labour for refitting is included for supply-and-install jobs within year 1; thereafter, a reasonable call-out may apply. Supply-only remedies exclude labour.
13.1 Please report defects in writing with photos as soon as reasonably possible and within 30 days of discovery.
13.2 This warranty is in addition to your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
14.1 We are not responsible for the quality or suitability of customer-supplied doors/hardware/appliances. Additional labour due to incompatibility or defects will be chargeable.
15.1 We are not liable for delays caused by events beyond our reasonable control (e.g., manufacturer delays, strikes, extreme weather, illness, supply shortages, transport issues). We will keep you informed and reschedule at the earliest opportunity.
16.1 Nothing limits our liability for death/personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or other liabilities that cannot legally be limited.
16.2 We are not liable for loss of profit, business interruption, or indirect/consequential losses.
16.3 Our total liability for any claim arising from the order is limited to the price paid for the relevant goods/services.
17.1 With your consent, we may take before/after photos of the installation for our portfolio, website and social media. We will not publish identifiable personal data without consent.
